Who is Big Bite Games?

The core team consists of two programmers and one game designer/artist. Big Bite Games is currently developing their first product, World of Football.

Together we have more than 25 years of game development experience. Dennis Hansen is the game designer and graphic artist. Dennis began his career at Funcom, was one of the first employees at IO Interactive and worked for NDS, along with Sebastian Warnez and Hans-Henrik. Hans-Henrik is a senior programmer and has made games for Set-Top boxes for Sky Games, Turner US and has also worked on middleware development and large scale VOD systems. Sebastian is the company CEO and Lead Programmer on World of Football. He has worked in the games industry as both a manager and a programmer working on games for PS2, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, Set-Top boxes and browsers.

Big Bite Games is part of the Copenhagen Phoenix Union. The union consists of 5 game companies who share not only office space, but also help each other out wherever we can, whether its resources, or brainstorming a problem. We also share lunch and social arrangements, such as Friday bars.

 Where did we start?

The Idea for World of Football started all the way back in 1992 when Dennis played a lot of Kick Off and Sensible Soccer on the Commodore Amiga. Both games were great but there was room for improvement. Together with Jon Rocatis (Io Interactive) and Simon Holm (Reto-Moto) work begun on a 2D version on the Amiga but had to be abandoned due to lack of time. Later a 3D version was being produced with Jad Nohra (Havok) but again we ran out of time and money.

When did we start?

The team started work on the concept in 2010, and went in full production when Big Bite Games was founded in May 2011. Big Bite games is an independent games company.

Where are we going?

World of football is going to be the first game of Big Bite Games. The game will initially launch on Facebook and we see this as a steppingstone to branch out to other platforms like Android, iOS, PC, PSN and XBLA. The goal for Big Bite Games is to produce one to two titles each year on any possible platform.
